Kalego Solutions Inc., 10, rue de l'Espinay, E0170, Québec (Quebec) G1L 3L5, Canada, is responsible for the personal information collected through kalegosolutions.com.
As provided by law, the role of person in charge of the protection of personal information is held by the person with the highest authority within the company. You can reach them at [email protected].
What we collect
We collect only what you send us yourself, plus the minimal technical data needed to run the site. We buy no lists and we enrich your data from no external source.
When you fill in the contact form
- Your name and email address (required).
- Your phone number and your company or organisation (optional).
- The subject and description of your enquiry.
- The technical qualification details you choose to give: material, goal, project stage.
- The document you attach, if any: datasheet, photo, drawing.
- The type of enquiry selected, and the originating machine if you arrive from a product page.
Automatically, on every visit
- The country code your connection comes from, provided by our host. We do not keep your full IP address in our enquiry emails.
- The page you arrived from, and any campaign parameters (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign). - Aggregated, cookieless traffic statistics produced by Plausible Analytics. They cannot identify you.
The cookies used are detailed in our cookie policy.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry: assess your technical need, prepare a documented reply, send you an estimate.
- To send you an acknowledgement restating what you submitted, so you can check it and pass it on internally.
- To follow up commercially on your file if a project starts.
- To send you a document you explicitly requested.
- To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, in order to improve it.
We make no decision about you based solely on automated processing.
Forms started but never sent
If you start filling in our contact form and leave the page without clicking "Send", what you have already typed is still transmitted to us, provided you entered an email address or a phone number. These transmissions are flagged as drafts and are used only to get back to you if your enquiry was left unfinished.
The contents of an attached file are never transmitted this way. If you would rather not be contacted on that basis, write to [email protected] and we will delete the draft concerning you immediately.
How long we keep it
| Information | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Contact enquiry with no follow-up | 3 years from the last exchange |
| Active customer file or ongoing project | For the duration of the relationship, then as required by applicable legal and accounting obligations |
| Unresumed form drafts | Deleted once processed, and after 12 months at the latest |
| Aggregated traffic statistics | Kept with no link to an identifiable person |
At the end of these periods, the information is destroyed or anonymised.
Who your information is shared with
We do not sell, rent or trade any personal information. We rely on a small number of technical providers, each for a specific function:
| Provider | Role | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Site hosting and form submission handling | The content of your enquiry, in transit |
| Resend | Email delivery (your enquiry to us, the acknowledgement to you) | The email content and your contact details |
| Plausible Analytics | Cookieless traffic measurement | Aggregated browsing data, no identification |
| Google Fonts | Loading the site typefaces | Your IP address, technically required for delivery |
| Google Maps | Displaying the lab map on our contact page. The map loads automatically once you scroll down to it. | Your IP address, and cookies set by Google |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to assert our rights.
Disclosure outside Quebec
Our technical providers operate infrastructure outside Quebec, mainly in the United States and Europe. Your information may therefore be processed or stored there and be subject to the law of those jurisdictions. We select providers that offer adequate protection through contractual commitments.
Commercial emails
Answering your enquiry is not marketing: when you write to us, our reply and the acknowledgement are messages you asked for.
We only send commercial content or a newsletter if you have explicitly consented by ticking a box provided for that purpose. That box is never pre-ticked, and you can withdraw consent at any time: every message carries an unsubscribe link, and an email to [email protected] is equally sufficient.
Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous.
- Request its deletion where keeping it is no longer justified.
- Withdraw your consent to its disclosure or use.
- Ask to receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if our answer does not satisfy you.
Write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days of receiving your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to incoming enquiries is limited to the team members who need to handle them. Our third-party access keys are stored encrypted, outside the site's source code.
No measure is infallible. Should a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury occur, we would notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect a change in our practices or in the applicable regulations. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. A substantial change will be signalled by a notice on the site.
